Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information Photographs – in color!

The Denver Post has featured a fantastic selection of some of the only color photographs taken as part of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information effort during the period of WWII, 1939 to 1943.  The photo below of a fair barker was taken right here in Vermont, at the grounds at the state fair in Rutland, in September of 1941. (Reproduction from color slide. Photo by Jack Delano. Prints and Photographs Division, Library of Congress.)

Wedding – Jamie and Shane – Bolton, Vt.

Jamie and Shane were married on a beautiful Vermont summer day in the mountains. Everyone was excited, happy and ready for a party – and so relaxed!

The full wedding can be viewed by visiting the gallery here or by clicking  Online Proofs at the top of the page. Please contact the couple for the password to the gallery.

Flower girls always steal the show. Clearly practicing to be brides.

Shane’s first glance at Jamie as she approaches the aisle with her father.

It was clear early on that this was going to happen – Shane just had that look on his face while cutting the cake…

Remember what I said about flower girls stealing the show?

Shane’s mom, in the middle below, had more fun than anyone else at the wedding!

Jamie and Shane get married – a sneak peak.

On Sunday, I photographed the wedding of Jamie Parot and Shane Bufano at The Ponds at Bolton Valley Resort in Bolton, Vt.  I thought I’d feature a couple of images her for their family and friends while they wait for the rest of the photographs to be ready. It was a beautiful summer day! Shane is a professional photographer so I know how anxious he is to see the photographs  – Congratulations Jamie and Shane!

No wedding would be complete with out children and bubbles. This is my favorite example of both. Photographs from the rest of the day will be available soon. Stay tuned – And don’t forget to leave a little love in the comments section below!

Lyric Theatre’s LyricKids Summer Theater Camp

This just in – Auggie, Kate and LyricKids made the July 21, 2010 edition of The Burlington Free Press!

Check out the Free Press coverage at http://bit.ly/lyrickids

My daughter August, we call her Auggie, (below) spent last week with Lyric Theatre’s LyricKids summer camp in Williston, Vt. The week-long intensive theater camp put on a production of, “Are We There Yet,” a musical about the human development of mobility and travel. I thought I’d take a break here before loading the blog up with wedding photographs from this season to promote my favorite actress.

The first day of camp featured auditions – Auggie landed the part of cruise passenger. She loves the dance numbers.

Auggie’s friend Kate Connolly (above in the center) took the class with her and played the part of Mitsy, the cruise director.

She wanted to keep the umbrella from her drink on the cruise ship!

This is Auggie’s fourth production. She’s appeared twice in Catalyst Theater’s production of “A Christmas Pageant” and in St. Michael’s Playhouse junior production of “Cinderella” and  is hoping to land a part in Lyric Theatre’s production of “Peter Pan” this fall.
